I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here
Tonight while watching the reality television show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Australia. I actually cried real tears. Twenty nineteen has been an awesome experience. Not only for celebrities. For the viewers who have tuned in for this year’s journey.
I cannot believe I actually shed tears. Felt real emotions. Viewing a reality television show.
WTF! It’s a reality television show.
I must admit. The previews for this season did not grab my attention. I looked at the celebrity lineup and concluded they were not really well- known celebrities. Not to me anyway. My intrigue was not awakened enough to WANT to watch this year’s show. At least. Not like they had in previous years.
However, for some reason, my partner tuned in to episode one. Or maybe it was just because we watch channel ten on most nights. And there was no real competition on the other channels.
Celebrity Jungle
The first show sucked us in. I think it’s because Julia Morris and Chris Browne have an infectious and endearing camaraderie. Visible mutual respect for each other. The two of them bounce off each other with such ease. At least as hosts for I’m a Celebrity Get Me out of here.
Will be tuning in to the new show guys. Chris and Julia’s Sunday Takeaway. I am interested to see if they are able to continue to capture the audience in the new format. I realize the setting is completely different. Still, I am praying that it does. They make me laugh out loud. So quick-witted. So bloody funny.
Anyway back to tonight’s episode of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.
This year’s ‘little known’ celebrities have truly touched my heart. Sucked in Kezza.
They have all had some memorable experiences. Some alone. Some in pairs. And some in groups.
Whatever they faced. They did it with gusto. No matter how much fear they were experiencing they faced it with courage and enthusiasm. And true Aussie grit.
I must mention this year’s American guest celebrities Richard Reid and Katherine Kelly Lang fitted in perfectly with the Aussie lineup. Richard is such a sweet person. Honest and real.
Tonight’s show was emotional. So many heartfelt expressions. Celebrating a birthday on tonight’s episode was Angie. Every celebrity remaining did everything in their power to make her day special. From the minute she awoke. And they totally succeeded.
Get Me Outta Here
Australia’s audience has voted perfectly this year. The remaining celebs are growing ever closer. Each day there have been deeply connecting experiences. This years group of celebrities has gelled together so convincingly. And honestly.
The verbal exchanges throughout tonight’s episode were so emotional and sincere. As a viewer, I feel like I am somehow connected to these people. People I will probably never meet. I guess because I simply I tuned in.
Although I cannot imagine what it is like to live in the jungle. As I lay back on my reclining sofa with my coffee and biscuits (cookies). I emotionally connected with the celebs. They have been so honest and raw this year. You can see and feel the admiration they all have for each other.
They have all been so creative. Attempting to keep each other in high spirits.
Shane Crawford introduced the honesty circle this year. Loathed by some of the celebs. But it proved successful in uplifting spirits.
The hopscotch idea on tonight’s episode was genius. It had power. Just watching the celebs enjoy that simple game evoked childhood memories for me. Hence tears. Happy tears.
The tucker trial was laugh out loud funny in tonight’s episode.
The chosen celebs were on fire. Really inventive. Totally entertaining.
The conversations between the celebs throughout tonight’s episode were honest. Sincere. Real. Emotions ran high due to birthday celebrations.
There was a truly inspiring comment from one of the celebrities on tonight’s episode. I am unable to recall who. However, I will attempt to convey a comparable quote. Not quote.
The Celebrities Really Connected
While watching a playback package of all the tucker trials a comment ensued.
“It was so inspiring to see the effort we all made. The fears we overcame to feed each other.”
Great idea to show the celebs the playback. They all realized just how much effort they had individually contributed. Visually presenting this to the celebs was empowering. To borrow a phrase from Richard Reid.
This simple comment made me tear up. I realized how close they have all grown. The respect they have for each other. How appreciative they have become of each other.
Each of them relied on complete strangers to keep them nourished. To keep them sane. To keep them uplifted. Twenty four hours a day for many weeks.
Who Will Get Voted Off
This week one celebrity per episode is voted off the show. Until the finale. Until a King or Queen of the jungle is chosen. It is so endearing to watch the remaining celebs bid farewell to their jungle family. One by one. They honestly feel sad with each departure.
I am unable to decide who will win this year. In the past, I have easily made a choice. This season has presented so many wonderful connections. Many personal and inspirational stories. So many reasons to want them all to win.
My choice changes by the end of each episode.
I will feel a little sad at the completion of this season. Like being estranged from dear family members.
Yeah! This comment surprises even me and seems a little OTT. But what the heck, I feel what I feel.
Channel 10 has delivered in spades. It’s a high five from me and a high-five from him.
My partner and I have thoroughly enjoyed this year’s season. Looking forward to 2020.
I’m A Celebrity Australia, we will def be tuning in to the jungle next year. Hoping the experience is just as enlightening, enjoyable and endearing.
Cudo’s to Dr. Chris Browne and sidekick Julia Morris. You both kick butt!
Awesome. Fantastic. Lovable. Funny AF!
