A Beautiful Soul

A beautiful soul
   was born today.
A child for us to cherish
   as he finds his way.

Happiness and joy has filled
   so many hearts.
We are all in awe
   as a new life starts.

He has come to teach us
   as only he can.
As he grows from a tiny boy
   to a wonderful man.

A mom a dad
  grandparents and aunts.
All waiting to learn that
   which without him
   we otherwise can’t.

A name has been chosen
   his identity given.
His character will form
  by choices made just by living.

We welcome your beautiful
   innocent soul.
As we take part in the life
   in which you will become whole.

While your future unfolds from this
   very first day.
We look forward to sharing
   what your destiny brings our way.

You will fill a void we weren’t
   aware existed.
As we become awakened
   to this beautiful soul we have been gifted.

We look forward to the future
   as each day comes and goes.

A Family Celebrates A Beautiful Soul

Upon the birth of my gorgeous grandson. I penned this poem as a constant reminder of my feelings at that very moment. His birth brought our family great joy. I wanted to be able to express this joy through this poem to show him how he changed our family from the moment he arrived.

He will teach us so much as he grows and transforms from a child to a young man. Through him we will experience the delights of innocence and pure love.
A journey we can all share and contribute to in a positive and supporting way. We have so much to look forward to as we experience his life while he grows.
